Port Issac
Port Issac, not as bustling as Padstow and perhaps less rugged than Boscastle but it is just as beautiful. on your first visit you may be tempted to drive down to the harbour, this is ok, and when the tide is out you can park on the beach, but it is not a drive for the feint hearted. The road follows a steep course to the bottom gets extremely narrow and then turns sharply right. You will come across many Cornish lanes that are only able to take one cars width at a time, but in the middle of a busy fishing village with no where to go! Parking at the top enables you to see all that Port Issac has to offer and that is a great deal. The galleries and craft shops give way to the smell of fresh fish and the crab sandwiches are wonderful. The little fish display is well worth a visit as is the pottery on the south side of the harbour, and if its a painting by a local artist you want you wont find better .
